to be so

when I
spend time
in Spirit
I,
in time,
hear
Her words
learn
Her language
receive
Her secrets;
to be so
I do so
in stillness
of being
in silence
of mind
in realm
of no-thought;
for if
I am
too eager
to hear
Her speak
my eagerness
becomes
a kind
of frantic motion
a kind
of noise
unto itself
drowning out
what
I
came
to hear.
